How it Works
01 — Tell me about the piece
Fill out the form below and tell me what you’re imagining. It will walk you through the details, including the subject, size, colors, and how you’d like to display the finished piece. You can also upload as many inspiration images as you’d like. If you’re unsure which direction to take—or what’s possible with stained glass—we’ll figure it out together.
02 — We talk it through
I’ll get back to you within 1–2 business days to discuss your ideas, ask any follow-up questions, and start narrowing down the direction. If something needs to be adjusted to work safely and beautifully in stained glass, I’ll explain why and we’ll find the best way to bring your vision to life.
03 — Sketch and quote
Once we’ve settled on a direction, I’ll create a sketch of your piece and provide a final quote. You’ll have the chance to review both, ask questions, and request any adjustments before deciding to move forward. Nothing is charged until you’re happy with the plan and give your approval.
04 — Deposit and build
A 50% deposit reserves your place in the commission queue, and then I’ll begin creating your piece. I’ll share progress photos along the way so you can watch it come together. The remaining balance is due once the piece is complete and before it ships.
Timeline & Investment
Commissions can run anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks from approved sketch to finished piece. Larger panels and anything requiring specialty glass can run longer — I'll always give you a real date, not an optimistic one.
Pricing depends on preferred size, complexity, and glass selection. Your custom quote will account for the size and complexity of the design, glass selection, materials, and the time required to bring it all together. You’ll receive the full price and an estimated completion date before deciding whether to move forward.
If you request specialty glass or your design needs unusual materials, those details will be included clearly in your quote—no surprises along the way.
Keep in Mind
A few things worth knowing up front:
- References are always welcome. We can draw inspiration from the colors, style, or images while creating something that feels entirely your own.
- Glass has opinions. Some shapes, details, and color combinations may need to be thoughtfully adjusted so your finished piece is both beautiful and structurally sound.
- Two rounds of revision are included at the sketch stage. Changes after cutting begins are quoted separately.
- Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered and cutting has started.
- Shipping is insured and quoted at the balance stage. Local pickup and delivery in DFW are available.
- Installation — panels ship ready to hang with hardware and instructions. For architectural pieces, I can recommend an installer.
FAQ
Can you match a specific color? Usually, or come very close. Glass isn't paint — the same sheet reads differently depending on the light behind it. Send me a swatch or a photo and I'll tell you honestly what's achievable.
Can you repair or restore an existing piece? Sometimes. Send photos through the form and I'll take a look. Older leaded panels are often worth restoring; badly damaged ones sometimes aren't.
Do you work from someone else's drawing? Yes, if you have a design already — a family crest, a sketch, a child's drawing. These often make the best pieces.
Can I commission a gift? Yes, and it's common. Tell me the occasion date in the form and I'll be straight with you about whether it's achievable.
What if I don't like the sketch? Your design includes two free rounds of revisions, giving us time to refine the details and make sure the direction feels right before moving forward.

I take on a limited number of commissions at a time so each one gets the attention it needs. If the queue is full, I'll tell you when it opens rather than rushing your piece through.
